Terms of service

Last updated

Draft — pending legal review. This document describes how the service works today, but it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before launch. Items marked “to be confirmed” are still being decided.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Procrastinate.ai (the "service"), including the website at https://procrastinate.ai (opens in a new tab) and the app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

2. Who can use the service

You must be at least 16 years old. Where the law requires parental consent for your age (for example, under 18 in India), you may use the service only with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity on your account.

3. What the service is — and is not

Procrastinate.ai is a self-reflection, planning and learning tool. It helps you understand and decide about tasks you are delaying, using a deterministic decision engine and, with your consent, AI features.

It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic care, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. Emotional check-ins are for self-reflection only. If you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or danger, contact your local emergency services.

4. AI features

AI features are optional and only process your personal content if you switch on AI processing. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete; use your own judgement before acting on it. You must not use AI features to generate unlawful, harmful or abusive content.

5. Your content

You own the content you put into the service (tasks, journal entries, notes, recordings and so on). You give us a limited permission to store, process and display it only to provide the service to you — including sending it to AI providers if you have consented. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for advertising. You can export or delete it at any time.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights using the service;
  • attempt to access other users' data, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service without permission, or disrupt it;
  • use automated means to access the service in ways that put excessive load on it, or to get around plan limits;
  • harass accountability partners or share content you do not have the right to share;
  • resell the service without our written permission.

7. Plans, payments and cancellation

  • The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Pro and Premium) are billed monthly or yearly in advance, in Indian rupees (via Razorpay) or US dollars (via Stripe). Current prices and limits are on the pricing page.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page; you keep paid features until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
  • Refunds are handled according to the terms shown at checkout and applicable consumer law. Our detailed refund policy is to be confirmed in legal review.
  • If we change prices, we will tell you in advance, and changes apply from your next billing period.

8. Accountability partners and integrations

If you invite a partner, you choose what they can see and can change or revoke it at any time. If you connect Google Calendar or Telegram, their own terms also apply, and you can disconnect them at any time.

9. Our intellectual property

The service, including its software, design, Academy lessons and articles, is owned by us or our licensors. You may read and share links to our public content and quote short excerpts with attribution. Please do not copy substantial parts without permission.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and secure, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we make a material change that affects a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, after giving notice where reasonable.

12. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on suggestions from the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Governing law

The governing law and jurisdiction are to be confirmed in legal review. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.

14. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will update the date below and notify you before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
